This joint Churches Together, Harrow borough-wide initiative sees volunteers patrol Wealdstone and Harrow town centre during the night at weekends. The aim is to reduce anti-social behaviour and assist people in need. Harrow Council and the Police are in full support of Street Pastors as it has seen major success in reducing crime in boroughs across the country and the world.
We have prayer partners from Cornerstone who faithfully pray for the Harrow Street Pastors team as they go out on their patrols on Friday and Saturday nights with the aim of “caring, listening and helping” those they meet. Street Pastors provide moral and prayer support along with their street kits of flip-flops, blankets, water, lollipops.

Every year between January and March Cornerstone, Churches Together and homeless charity Firm Foundation run a local community homeless shelter. They provide a 15 bed dormitory style shelter for men and a hot meal, all served by volunteers from the local churches. Whilst the residents shelter with us we work to get them off the streets permanently.
The aim of the ministry is sow the seeds of the gospel primarily, to encourage and give hope to those that are hopeless, to meet practical needs and assist people with food, clothing, housing advice or support and to be friendly face to talk to, as loneliness is a big factor in many of people’s lives that we meet.
